How private boat hire in Albufeira works

Every boat here comes with a licensed skipper, fuel and insurance, and leaves from Albufeira Marina.

Do I need a boat licence?

No. Every boat is hired with a professional skipper, so you can relax, swim and enjoy the coast while the skipper handles the boat.

Which boat suits my group?

Up to 8 guests: the private RIB speedboat. Up to 12: the catamaran or a Sunseeker yacht. Up to 18: the “Unwind” sailing catamaran.

How long should I book?

Three hours is enough for the Benagil caves and a swim stop. A half day of 4 hours is more relaxed, and a full day lets you reach Lagos or the Ria Formosa.

What does it cost?

Private boat hire in Albufeira starts at €900 for 3 hours on the RIB, €1,200 on a catamaran or Sunseeker sunset cruise, and €1,400 for a 4-hour half day on the “Unwind”. Prices are per boat, not per person.

How much does it cost to hire a private boat in Albufeira?

Private boat hire with skipper starts at €900 for 3 hours for up to 8 guests, including VAT. Catamarans and Sunseeker yachts start at €1,200.

Can we hire a boat in Albufeira without a skipper?

The boats on this site are all hired with a skipper, which is the safest and easiest way to visit the caves. Your skipper knows where to swim and how close the sea allows you to get.

Where do the boats leave from?

Every boat on this site leaves from Albufeira Marina. We send you the exact meeting point when your booking is confirmed. Please arrive 30 minutes before departure.

How does the 25% deposit work?

Choose your boat, date and time and send us the booking by WhatsApp or email. We confirm availability and send you a secure link to pay the deposit. You pay the rest on the day.

What is the cancellation policy?

It depends on the boat and is confirmed before you pay. On the Sunseeker yachts, cancellation is free up to 7 days before. If the skipper cancels because of the weather, you can move your date or get your deposit back.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. All prices shown include Portuguese VAT and are confirmed when you book.
