Visiting Benagil by private boat

Benagil is about 30 minutes by boat from Albufeira Marina, along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Algarve coast.

Which boat?

A private RIB is the quickest and gets closest to the rocks. A catamaran or a Sunseeker yacht is more comfortable and lets you combine the caves with swimming and drinks on board.

Best time to go

Mornings are usually calmest and less busy. Sea conditions decide how close boats can get to the caves, and your skipper always puts safety first.

Along the way

The trip passes many smaller caves and beaches between Albufeira and Benagil, and dolphins are sometimes seen on the way.

Albufeira private boat charter FAQ

Can we go inside the Benagil cave?

Your skipper takes you as close as the sea conditions and local rules allow, so you can see the cave from the water. Landing on Benagil beach from a boat is not permitted.

How long is a private Benagil trip?

Allow at least 3 hours for a relaxed trip with a swim stop. Half-day and full-day yacht charters can include Benagil too.

Where do the boats leave from?

Every boat on this site leaves from Albufeira Marina. We send you the exact meeting point when your booking is confirmed. Please arrive 30 minutes before departure.

How does the 25% deposit work?

Choose your boat, date and time and send us the booking by WhatsApp or email. We confirm availability and send you a secure link to pay the deposit. You pay the rest on the day.

What is the cancellation policy?

It depends on the boat and is confirmed before you pay. On the Sunseeker yachts, cancellation is free up to 7 days before. If the skipper cancels because of the weather, you can move your date or get your deposit back.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. All prices shown include Portuguese VAT and are confirmed when you book.
